When it comes to creating a positive, inclusive, and accessible youth sports culture, no organization is more committed to that goal than Positive Coaching Alliance. Why, because we know the impact sports done right can have on the life of a young person, both on and off the field.

We consistently look for ways to ensure broad awareness of the benefits of sports done right and perhaps there has been no louder megaphone for our approach than the fictional coach Ted Lasso.

Since the launch of the show, millions have celebrated the focus the show has placed on creating a positive environment for sports. In late July, USA Today did a feature on “15 inspirational ‘Ted Lasso’ quotes for youth sports coaches”, and referenced Positive Coaching Alliance:

‘Takin’ on a challenge is a lot like ridin’ a horse. If you’re comfortable while you’re doing it, you’re probably doing it wrong.’ This is a line of inspiration for you to get into coaching. With youth sports, your attitude and how you conduct yourself are more important than your knowledge of the game. And there are plenty of resources that can help you. You can start with the Positive Coaching Alliance and the Reformed Sports project.”
