PCA’s foundational workshop that provides coaches with the tools to create a Positive Sports Culture that sets athletes up to succeed both on and off the field.
Developing Competitors AND MENTAL WELLNESS Through Positive Coaching
This workshop takes the principles of creating a positive youth sports culture, views them through the lens of Mental Wellness, and provides hands on tools to develop competitors, life skills, and mental wellness among High School athletes and beyond.
COACHING WITH EMPATHY
Creating a positive, developmental youth sports environment for your young athletes starts with the coach. The highly interactive Coaching with Empathy workshop provides coaches with the tools to build meaningful, understanding relationships with and amongst their team – and unlock the many benefits that sports can provide.
CULTURE, PRACTICES AND GAMES
This workshop further illustrates how coaches use PCA principles to build a team culture that players and their parents buy into, thus leading to life lessons and improved athletic performance in practices and games.
POSITIVE MOTIVATION: Getting the Best from Today's Athletes
This workshop teaches a research-based way for coaches to motivate and work with athletes, with a focus on how positive coaching builds a supportive and challenging environment that helps athletes become more resilient and successful in sport and in life.
MASTERY: THE PURSUIT OF Peak Performance
One of a coach’s most important responsibilities is to support athlete development, both on and off the field. Mastery: The Pursuit of Peak Performance expands upon PCA’s skill development principle, the ELM Tree of Mastery, and provides coaches the tools to create an environment that facilitates learning, growth, and athletic development.

This workshop strives to establish and enhance the building of sports environments free of hate and discrimination.
Culture Building: Honoring the Game
Coaches are key in creating positive sports experiences for athletes. This workshop expands upon PCA’s culture principle, Honoring the Game, and introduces essential strategies for building a positive team culture that can lead to increased athlete satisfaction, sense of belonging, resilience, and performance.

This workshop trains student-athletes of middle-school age and older to impact sport on three levels by working to improve themselves, teammates and their sport as a whole.
COMPETING WITH EMPATHY
Young athletes can play a role in contributing to a positive, developmental youth sports environment. The highly interactive Competing with Empathy workshop provides athletes with tangible tools to help create an empathetic team environment to unlock the many benefits that sports can provide.
MAKING TEAMMATES BETTER: Leadership and Positive Initiation
This workshop provides student-athletes of high school-age and older a deeper view into how teammates can help each other improve.

HONORING THE GAME – SOCIAL MEDIA USE: Elevating Yourself and Others
This workshop provides student-athletes of high school-age and older the opportunity to examine more deeply their use of social media and the impact on their teams and the school community as a whole.
SPORTS CAN BATTLE RACISM: A Workshop for Athletes
This workshop has an interactive discussion on how to increase understanding of one’s own identity and biases, value diversity, and create safe environments on their teams to help ensure that everyone belongs.
JR. TRIPLE-IMPACT COMPETITOR: Activities to Develop Better Athletes, Better People
This workshop takes elementary and middle school-aged athletes through activities designed to plant the seeds of being a Triple-Impact Competitor.
CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
This program consists of a curriculum of four (4) workshops designed to educate student-athletes on PCA’s foundational principles and how to put those principles to use every day. Each workshop is a 50-minute, highly interactive session integrating group learning and case study techniques.

Parent Workshops
Positive Sports Parenting (Youth)
Everyone wants to win. But in youth and high school sports there is a second, more important goal: teaching life lessons through sports. In this workshop, sports parents and guardians learn why and how to focus on that second goal. This workshop conveys the essence of the PCA philosophy and gives several tips and tools parents and guardians can use to help their children get the most from youth sports.

Leadership Workshops
CULTURE SHAPING FOR LEADERS
Organizational and Athletic department leadership have the ability to establish positive experiences for all athletes across their programs when they focus on shaping a positive, equitable, and accessible sport culture. This interactive workshop provides tools to shape and maintain a positive sports culture and introduces the Positive Youth Sports Culture Index – PCA’s comprehensive tool for culture shaping and evaluation.
SPORTS EQUITY: INCREASING ACCESS TO YOUTH SPORTS
Ensuring all kids have the opportunity to benefit from a positive sports experience is an important responsibility of a youth sport organization or athletic department leader. Sports Equity: Increasing Access to Youth Sports presents sport leaders the opportunity to identify barriers that keep marginalized and underrepresented youth from participating in sports, participate in collaborative problem solving, and learn actionable strategies to enhance sports equity and participation within their community.
