The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and, more specifically, the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience® (RSLE) offers visitors a safe, all-inclusive environment for kids and adults to experience a variety of sports without limitations or judgment. It is the purest form of athletic enjoyment guided by a coaching staff that encourages participation and effort.

The staff at Riley Sports Legends Experience goes above and beyond to ensure they're not just exposing their guests to new and fun sports, but that they're doing it in an environment centered around developing the whole person, and not just a new athlete.

"Our goal is to encourage children and their parents to look past the final score of a game and enjoy being active together in non-competitive ways. Our trained coaches help teach life lessons like having a positive attitude, persistence, setting goals, respecting, and encouraging each other. If you do those things, you can create life skills and healthy habits that can last a lifetime. RSLE offers experiences in basketball, football, hockey, soccer, baseball, tennis, golf, track & field, and two pedal car racing experiences. It was recently voted the “#1 Children’s Museum in the country” by USA Today and was named one of the “Top 50 Coolest Places on Earth” by Time Magazine for Kids. RSLE was also recently recognized as a 2021 Project Play Champion by the Aspen Institute’s Project Play Initiative.

Each of the experiences in RSLE provide different challenges for guests, and each sport is represented by a legendary sports figure with ties to Indiana. Along with the experiential aspect of each sport, guests learn about that sports legend’s story, promoting family learning in an active, fun, safe and non-competitive environment.
