Glen Matsumoto is a Managing Director & Vice Chairman, Actis (part of General Atlantic). Actis is a leading investor in Asia, Africa and Latin America with $16 billion of assets under management. Matsumoto’s Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund seeks to invest in the electric power, toll roads, district heating/cooling, digital, and other essential infrastructure in emerging market countries. This infrastructure is driving economic growth for these countries and increased opportunity for their populations.
Previously, Matsumoto headed the New York City Office of EQT Partners and was one of the founding partners for the firm’s infrastructure business line.
Earlier in his career, he was an infrastructure investor for Mission Energy Company (a global independent power company), the Export-Import Bank of the United States, ABB, GE Energy Financial Services, and Macquarie.
Matsumoto has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University. He swam competitively throughout high school and for the Rice University men’s swim team, serving as team captain in his senior year.
