Oakland Athletic League Community Sports Grant Program
Oakland Athletic League Community Sports Grant Program

Positive Coaching Alliance and Eat. Learn. Play., the Oakland based charity created by Stephen and Ayesha Curry, are excited to announce the 2025–26 Oakland Athletic League Community Sports Grant Program. This new grant opportunity is designed to strengthen youth sports access for middle school students across Oakland.
Â
The initiative supports the launch of six sports programs in Fall 2025 — Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Cheerleading, Futsal, Girls and Boys Flag Football, and Swimming — with a focus on reaching students in grades 6–8 at public schools. Grant funds, provided by Eat. Learn. Play., will be awarded to community-based organizations (CBOs) that demonstrate deep local roots, a commitment to equity-centered programming, and the operational capacity to deliver high-quality, inclusive sports opportunities. Â
Â
Selected partners will receive not only funding but also access to leadership development and coaching resources through PCA. CBOs awarded grants will be expected to collaborate with school site leaders, prioritize inclusive practices, and help track youth participation and impact throughout the season.
