Randy has experienced youth sports as a player, a parent, and a coach. As a Division I basketball player at Rice University, Randy was a three year starter at power forward. In raising his three grown children, he cut his teeth in coaching everything from U-5 soccer to T-Ball to softball and eventually recreation league basketball. In Colorado, where he developed and taught social-emotional learning and life skills courses at Aspen High School, he coached both middle school girls and boys basketball moving to the high school girls varsity team that he coached a total of ten years taking two different teams to the Colorado Class AAA state tournament. In teaching and mentoring coaches and parents, Randy is seeking to put his dual masters’ degrees in theology and counseling psychology to good use.
