Coach Gonzales does a wonderful job of coaching the fundamentals of the game, but, more importantly, he is consistently teaching the fundamentals of life. He truly works at getting each of his players to be the best versions of themselves through accountability, responsibility, hard work, and teamwork. He is the perfect role model for the players, and for many, he is a father figure. Poway is an area with many military families, and he fills in with moms and dads are away on deployment to ensure his players are doing their best on and off the field.

He teaches the players that every person has a role, and that role is paramount to the success of the team. He has taught his players that every person must consider the unique circumstances of individuals in order to best support each other, the team, and the community. And, he does all of these things with an energetic and exciting environment that is fun and conducive to learning.

Coach Gonzales has consistently demonstrated impeccable character, setting a high standard of integrity, sportsmanship, and fairness that resonates deeply with both players and parents alike. His actions on and off the field reflect a coach who values ethical leadership, placing the well-being of his athletes above all else.
