Marti originally joined PCA in 2014 with the Los Angeles Chapter working as a Partnership Manager to grow the movement with local schools and youth sports organizations. Marti transitioned into a Development Manager role for Southern California in 2017, allowing her to start the LA Chapter Leadership Council and help implement some of PCA's Pro Team partnerships in the area. In 2019, she assumed the role of National Partnerships and Marketing Manager. In this capacity, Marti now supports all national and corporate partners throughout the country, and is also tasked with bringing new national and corporate partnerships to PCA.
Since Marti's involvement as a staff member at PCA, she has also joined PCA's training team presenting at live workshops for coaches, parents, and athletes throughout Los Angeles and beyond. Marti has separated herself as one of PCA's best trainers. Marti grew up in Long Beach, CA where she was a three-sport athlete at Wilson High School competing in softball, volleyball and track & field. She went on to play softball at UCLA from 2008-2012 where she won a National Championship with the Bruins in 2010 after scoring the tying run in the championship game to eventually beat the Arizona Wildcats in extra innings. Marti was able to leave her mark at UCLA as a highly decorated student-athlete; including the leader of the Bruin Athletic Council, Athletes in Action Christian Club, Afrikan Student Union, Alumni Scholarship Committee, Student-Athlete Mentors, and achieving 2012 UCLA Senior of the Year.
Marti has coached softball and trained athletes from elementary school, middle school, high school, and collegiate level, even spending some time in summer 2014, coaching with the Canadian National Team. Marti has 8 years of coaching experience, joined PCA full time in 2014 and is the Development Manager of the Southern California region. Marti is still extremely active in sports such as volleyball, softball, and boxing. Marti spends a lot of time training students in leadership and life skills and has been the featured speaker at numerous events for high school and college students including UCLA's Athlete Graduation, UCLA's Wooden Academy, the LEAP conference, and the TMSP Leadership Conference with Magic Johnson.
