Steve Davis Jr. is a servant leader, design thinker, director of alumni engagement, author, and an Athlete Transition Coach currently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He played 4 years of football at the University of Minnesota, where he received his B.A. in Mass Communications in 2008, was an All Big Ten Player, and was Senior Captain.
His mantra for life that he developed after he was done being an athlete is “Strive Higher Every Day” and he lives that out by continuing to be a lifelong learner and inspiring others to do the same.
Through his pursuit of becoming a professional athlete and his experience transitioning from sports before the dream became fulfilled, he channeled that mantra and developed a mission and passion for helping other athletes transition to life with confidence that they have more to offer than just their athletic ability. Thus, he founded Strive Higher After Sports, a company focused on helping athletes design a fulfilled life after sports.
Now he works with Olympic, pro, college, and high school athletes as a Life Design Coach, helping them build their identity outside of sports and find their why.
He believes providing a positive atmosphere for growth and learning can help everyone Strive Higher and the sooner we are exposed to that, the better.
Steve also has experience coaching youth football and basketball.
