Leslie Campbell is a seasoned HR and operations leader with more than 25 years of experience supporting mission-driven organizations. She is the founder of Human Narratives Consulting, LLC, where she provides interim executive HR leadership, organizational strategy, and leadership development workshops that foster cultures of care and accountability.
Campbell has held senior roles across nonprofits, education, philanthropy, and tech. She served as Chief of People at The Jed Foundation, Vice President of People Operations at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), and Vice President of Human Resources at California College of the Arts (CCA), where she led a team overseeing the full scope of HR, including Title IX, labor relations, and staff engagement.
Earlier in her career, Campbell delivered leadership development services to Fortune 500 companies as a consultant with PDI Ninth House, a global management consulting firm. She also served as Chief Operating Officer of Apogee Telecom, helping the startup grow into one of the largest residential network providers on college campuses. In the education sector, she was the first HR Director at KIPP Austin Public Schools and later directed HR for Aspire Public Schools, California’s largest centralized charter school system.
Campbell holds a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She credits her collaborative orientation to her background in team sports and now channels that same spirit into cheering on her son in the Special Olympics.
