Formally known as “Coach Mo” in the South Tampa area, Maria has worked at St. John’s Episcopal since 2013 as their Grade 5-8 Physical Education Teacher and Middle Division Athletic Director just a few years short of that. She has also coached club soccer in Wesley Chapel since 2012. 

Surrounded by sports her entire life, Maria grew up playing soccer and basketball. She attended the University of Tampa to play on the women’s soccer team and the team won the National Championship in 2007. Maria’s combined talent, hard work, and leadership provided her the opportunity to play for the Trinidad & Tobago Women’s National Soccer team from 2005-2009. Her passion, love and respect for sports is what has driven her to choose careers in developing and nurturing our youth.
