An accomplished entrepreneur and experienced CEO, Andrew Wright has built a reputation as a leader and innovator in the real estate and investment space. Through his many ventures, he has had a hand in nearly every sector of the economy, both in Tampa Bay and beyond.

Mr. Wright’s journey as a business leader begins with founding Franklin Street, a full- service commercial real estate firm, in 2006. During his 15-year tenure, he oversaw the company’s strategic growth from a local Tampa firm to a national player in CRE, boasting $7 billion transaction value.

At the beginning of this year, Mr. Wright’s career entered its next phase, as he stepped down in his role as CEO of Franklin Street, where he remains Chairman of the Board of Directors. Today, he serves as CEO of Ally Capital Group, a real estate investment firm he founded in 2009, which strategically identifies and executes on commercial and multifamily properties across the investment landscape.

In addition, he is a Managing Partner of the hospitality group Next Level Brands, which we co-founded in 2021 alongside renowned Tampa restaurateur Jeff Gigante. Frequently recognized for his leadership, Mr. Wright has twice been named one of real estate’s “Best Bosses” by Real Estate Forum Magazine – even adorning the magazine’s cover as the industry’s top leader in 2016. He has also been recognized as one of Florida’s 500 most influential executives by Florida Trend Magazine for five consecutive years.

Known for his valued insight on real estate and the economy, he delivers an annual presentation for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s signature “Economic Outlook” event and regularly shares his forecasts with various industry organizations including ULI, CCIM, ICSC and more. He is also committed to serving the community in a number of ways, including co-chairing the Positive Coaching Alliance – Tampa Bay alongside Matt Silverman, President of the Tampa Bay Rays. “The life lessons you learn in sports like teamwork, common goals, and perseverance are so important both on and off the field. For the youth environment, today to be so focused on the next level of play and not on teaching life lessons through sports is why I got involved with PCA.”
