VP, People & HR Operations
PCA Staff
Alex Guzman is a People & Culture leader who has spent the last 15 years helping mission-driven youth sports organizations build workplaces where people feel supported, valued, and able to do their best work in service of families and communities. He’s passionate about community-building—creating the structures, rhythms, and norms that help teams collaborate well, lead with care, and stay connected to the purpose behind the work.
Over his career, Alex has helped establish and grow People & Culture functions for multi-site programs supporting trainers across Utah and nationally. His work centers on building equitable systems that scale—improving how teams hire, onboard, develop, and support employees—while strengthening benefits and people practices for field-based and distributed staff. He’s known for bringing clarity and consistency to people operations and for building cultures rooted in belonging and fairness, so the organization can better deliver on its mission for youth and the communities it serves.
Outside of work, Alex loves being outdoors with his family and takes full advantage of Utah’s national parks—spending weekends hiking, exploring new trails, and recharging in the mountains and beautiful red rocks.
