Tony DiCicco

In Memoriam - Former Olympic and World Cup Women's Soccer Coach

National Advisory Board

Tony DiCicco coached the United States to the most momentous victory in the history of women’s soccer. The year was 1999 and Coach DiCicco guided a team that included Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy to a heart-stopping victory over china in the final of the women’s world cup before more than 90,000 fans at the Rose Bowl.

Still today, he is the only soccer coach in history to win both Olympic and world cup titles. He was also the founder of the SoccerPlus camp & academy program in Connecticut and the co-author of Catch Them Being Good: Everything You Need to Know to Successfully Coach Girls.
