The Little League® Coach of the Year Award Supported by Positive Coaching Alliance – Submissions Now Open!

This year, we’re working together to honor the coaches who go above and beyond to make a positive impact in their communities, both on and off the field. We are looking to recognize one baseball coach, one softball coach, and one Challenger Division coach for their incredible leadership and dedication.

If you know a Little League® coach who deserves this recognition, nominate them today! The selected coaches will receive a $5,000 grant to their local league to support their needs and initiatives.

All Nominations Must Be Submitted by Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 11:59pm PT.

All nominations must be active coaches associated with an affiliated Little League® Baseball, Softball, or Challenger Division program, with at least three years of coaching experience.

All nominated coaches must either already be Diamond Leader certified or complete the Little League Diamond Leader Training by the end of the nomination period in order to be fully eligible for the award.

The Little League® Coach of the Year award will recognize coaches that exhibit positive qualities of leadership and inspire kids to be the best they can be, both on and off the field.

Examples of leadership include showcasing honorable sportsmanship, demonstrating respect for other teams and athletes, always having a positive attitude in the face of challenges and more. Examples of inspiring Little Leaguers® include being a positive role model, encouraging Little Leaguers to be involved in their community, going above and beyond their duties as a Little League Coach to better their community, and more. 

Upon closing of nominations on Sunday, June 15th, 2025, a panel of judges will review all submissions carefully, assessing how each nominee has positively impacted their Little League® team and their community. The panel of judges include members of the Positive Coaching Alliance, and Little League communities, as well as former Coach of the Year recipients.

When submitting your Little League Coach for the award, we encourage you to share specific instances or stories of how the nominated coach has positively impacted their Little League team and community (example prompts are listed within the Nomination Form for inspiration).

While winners will not be selected solely based on the number of submissions, we encourage individual members of the community to submit their own form, detailing stories of why the nominee should be selected as this year’s Coach of the Year.

Little League will contact league representatives to confirm coaches’ eligibility and winners will be notified in September. Please follow Little League and Positive Coaching Alliance’s official social media handles for additional information and updates.
