Jennifer Sweeney
Attorney, Non-Profit Advisor
National Board Of Directors
Jen Sweeney has served as General Counsel for several start-up companies, practiced corporate law for a large law firm, and worked in private equity and investment banking. After spending more than ten years working in the biotechnology and high-tech industries, serving in various legal, finance, and investing roles, she has now dedicated herself to working to improve educational opportunities for children, both domestically and internationally. Outside of serving on the Board for Positive Coaching Alliance, Sweeney serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, which partners with schools to expand the school day and provide summer programming to kids from kindergarten to and through college and career placement. She chairs the Provost’s Leadership Council at the University of Notre Dame, exploring strategic priorities for the University. She serves on the Advisory Council for Common Sense Media and is also on the Board of her local Little League.
Sweeney is a staple on the sidelines of all manner of youth sports watching and cheering for her three sports-obsessed sons. She and her husband are active volunteers in local youth sports organizations, coaching and organizing. Sweeney and her husband are also active with the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth organizations.
Sweeney graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1999 with a degree in finance and received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2006. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and three young boys, who dream of one day being students at Notre Dame.
