REMOVING BARRIERS AND EXPANDING ACCESS TO YOUTH SPORTSYouth sports should be for everyone%u2014but too often, kids are shut out by high costs, a lack of available programs, or too few coaches to run them. At PCA, we are working to change that. Our Community Impact programs focus on increasing access and creating more opportunities, to help keep kids playing, investing in local solutions, and building stronger support networks. Whether it is bringing community leaders together through local coalitions, recruiting coaches from the neighborhoods we serve, or identifying where opportunities are falling short, our goal is simple: To make sure every child has a real chance to experience the positive benefits of youth sports regardless of their background or circumstances.2025 INAUGURAL NATIONAL SPORTS EQUITY CONVENINGOn February 12th at Oracle Park in San Francisco, PCA, alongside the LA84 Foundation, hosted the inaugural National Sports Equity Convening%u2014a powerful gathering of thought leaders, organizers, and advocates. The event created space for collaboration across sectors, highlighted community-led solutions, and energized our national network to advance equity in sports through shared learning and strategy.6
