Positive Coaching Alliance-Tampa Bay Honors 26 Student-Athletes at Triple-Impact Competitor® Awards Ceremony at One Buccaneer Place

Positive Coaching Alliance- Tampa Bay proudly recognized 26 outstanding high school senior student-athletes at its annual Triple-Impact Competitor® Awards Ceremony, held at One Buccaneer Place, the headquarters of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The event celebrated student-athletes from Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, as well as private and charter schools across the Tampa Bay region. Each honoree exemplifies PCA’s Triple-Impact Competitor® model—demonstrating the ability to improve oneself, uplift teammates, and elevate the game as a whole.

The event was further elevated by a special appearance from Cameron Brate, Super Bowl champion and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, who served as a guest speaker for the evening. Brate shared personal insights from his journey, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, leadership, and maximizing opportunities both on and off the field.

In addition, the program featured an engaging alumni panel, where past scholarship recipients returned to offer guidance and real-world advice to this year’s honorees. The discussion provided a valuable perspective on navigating college, pursuing career opportunities, and continuing to lead with purpose beyond high school athletics, creating a meaningful full-circle moment for the current class of winners.

In addition to receiving a $2,000 award, each winner in PCA- Tampa Bay’s program had the opportunity to be paired with a mentor—former athletes and professionals who provided guidance as they transition into college and their future careers.

The ceremony brought together families, coaches, school and county athletic directors, mentors, and members of the board to celebrate the collective impact of sport as a vehicle for positive youth development. Special moments included on-stage recognitions with Athletic Directors, group celebrations, and reflections on the lasting life lessons gained through athletics PCA Tampa Bay continues to invest in the next generation of leaders by equipping young athletes with the tools to succeed both in sports and in life. The Triple-Impact Competitor® Awards Program remains a cornerstone initiative, highlighting individuals who embody integrity, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference.
