Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) – Tampa Bay has announced its local Winners for its Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship Awards Program from the Class of 2026.
A Triple-Impact Competitor demonstrates commitment and success on three levels: Personal Mastery, Leadership, and Honoring the Game. The Program starts with an application and letters of recommendation and then includes in-person interviews. In addition, mentoring and networking are provided throughout the school year from PCA’s mentors. These local business professionals were once student-athletes and they share about how they use the lessons and skills they learned in sports off the court and off the field to build successful lives.
“Our mentors and scholarship committee were inspired by the strength and depth of applications submitted this fall. At our in-person events, senior student-athletes spoke candidly about their growth on and off the court, while mentors emphasized how the values learned through sports prepare students for the challenges and decisions ahead,” said Ahmad Kebe, Events and Communications Coordinator.
Since 2016, PCA – Tampa Bay has awarded nearly $450,000 in monetary awards to local student-athletes. Winners will be featured in local media throughout the spring and monetary awards will be provided at a celebratory event. Everyone will be invited to remain connected through PCA’s Awards Alumni Program.
“We offer more than a financial award,” said Nick Hess, PCA – Tampa Bay Board member and Mentor Chair. “Our Program connects high school seniors with mentors who share and demonstrate how the life lessons gained from their high school, college, or professional playing days continue to help them win in life. The Program also fosters points of connection to create a resource for them as they move on to college and life after.”
Award winners will receive a $2,000 check in the spring of 2026.
PCA reserves the right to rescind the award in the event a Winner acts in a manner inconsistent with the principles of PCA.
Thank you to all of our mentors and scholarship committee members for your involvement!
