PCA-Tampa Bay announces its 2026 Local Coach Award Winners – Supported by Weatherford Capital

Positive Coaching Alliance-Tampa Bay, the local chapter of the national nonprofit, Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), is proud to announce its 2026 Local Double-Goal Coach® Award Winners.

This year’s recipients represent the very best of youth and high school sports in our community. Each coach embodies the Double-Goal Coach model — striving for competitive excellence while also developing character, leadership, and life skills through sports for each athlete on their team. Eight outstanding coaches were selected by PCA–Tampa Bay’s Local Awards Committee following a competitive nomination process supported by powerful letters of recommendation.

Each winner receives a $500 award, certificate of recognition, features across PCA’s website and social media platforms, and invitations to exclusive local events to thank them for their intentional positive impact.

“Weatherford Capital has been an incredible partner with PCA-Tampa Bay, consistently supporting our mission and helping us recognize coaches who make a difference in young athletes’ lives,” said Ahmad Kebe, Events and Communications Coordinator for the local chapter.

“Our coaches taught us invaluable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and commitment that continue to guide us off the field,” said Drew Weatherford, one of the Founding Partners of Weatherford Capital. “PCA–Tampa Bay’s Coach Awards Program strengthens our community by investing in the leaders who shape our future.”

In addition to the local chapter’s program, the coaches were eligible to move on to the national round. PCA recognized 28 Finalists and will announce 10 National Coach of the Year Winners from across the country. Each National Winner will receive $500 and national recognition, and later this spring, one will be named National Coach of the Year, earning a $5,000 award sponsored by TeamSnap.
