Positive Coaching Alliance – Tampa Bay announces its Finalists for its Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship Awards
11.10.25
A Triple-Impact Competitor® isn’t just about wins and stats – they elevate themselves, their teammates, and the game. Finalists from the Class of 2026 were selected by a Committee for living out those values on and off the field, track, or court every day. High school senior student-athletes who applied reflected on what they’ve learned through sports with thoughtful essays and powerful letters of recommendation which further highlighted how they put in effort for mastery, lead with purpose, and compete with character.
“The way I would describe this year’s Finalists would be by saying they were multifaceted.” said Ahmad Kebe, PCA-Tampa Bay Communications and Events Coordinator. “Not too often do you see such passion and maturity from young athletes who truly want to make a difference in not only their lives, but others’ lives as well.”
Since launching in 2016, PCA–Tampa Bay has invested over $440,000 in awards for local student-athletes. But the program’s impact goes far beyond financial support. This year’s Finalists will also gain opportunities to:
- Sharpen their interview and communication skills
- Network with business and community leaders
- Receive mentorship as they prepare for life after high school
- Build lasting connections with fellow student-athletes
“We’re intentional about supporting these student-athletes with business leaders and mentors and who’ve walked in their shoes,” said Nick Hess, PCA–Tampa Bay Board Member and Mentor Chair. “The goal isn’t just to reward them financially, it’s to equip them in understanding how they can take the lessons they’re learning in sports and use them for a lifetime.”
These Finalists represent the next generation of leaders who will carry PCA’s mission forward, creating better athletes, better people, and stronger communities through the power of sports.
