Karol Bird-Gomez

Karol Bird-Gomez started her athletic journey at the age of 7, playing intramural basketball with kids from her town in the recreational program. This involvement was the segue to be invited to the town’s very first soccer program. Karol’s keen love for athletics, community, and dopamine led her to participate as captain of Fairview’s very first boys traveling soccer team and the town’s first championship season. Karol has played high school and college (D2) soccer.

As an adult, Karol’s calling became more evident when coaching opportunities turned into a career change. Since 2021, Karol has coached High School (Northfield HS’s 2022 4A Championship season as assistant) as well as numerous soccer camps with Lil’ Kickers, TinyTykes and The Colorado Soccer Foundation. She was 1 of 25 recipients of 2022 PCA Coach of the Year Award. Karol has been a director of coaching and continues to work in youth soccer.
