Dennis Cruzan is the founding partner of Cruzan, a commercial real estate development and redevelopment company based in Southern California. Previously, Cruzan served as co-manager of JMI Realty’s hospitality, office, and multi-family development activities and acted as development partner with the Padres for the Ballpark District in downtown San Diego. Prior to JMI, he was the CEO and Chairman of Burnham Real Estate (now Cushman & Wakefield); a founder and principal of Centremark, a development and investment company specializing in office, industrial, and multi-family real estate; and the development partner at Oliver McMillan, focused on leasing, acquisitions, and project management. 

Cruzan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University and was a lead trumpet player for SDSU’s jazz ensemble. He has been involved in his community serving on various boards, along with industry and charitable endeavors, including current and past involvement with the Policy Advisory Board of the Burnham Moores Center for Real Estate-University of San Diego, Local NAIOP Forum Leader, Urban Land Council member, YPO-San Diego Chapter member, Board of Directors of  Cathedral Catholic High School, and various local youth sports organizations in both coaching and leadership roles. 

Cruzan lives in Del Mar, CA with his wife Janet of 37 years. The couple have three children and two grandchildren.
