THE 2022 NEWPORT RHODE RACES: RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING TO SUPPORT PCA

04.29.2022

1,000,000 Daffodils
Countless Ocean Views
14 Athletes
13.1 Miles
11 Mansions
5 Kilometers
1 Barefoot Beach Mile
More than $9,000 raised for Positive Coaching Alliance

On Saturday, April 16, fourteen athletes gathered in Newport, Rhode Island to run for Positive Coaching Alliance. They ran different distances. Seven ran the half-marathon. Six ran the 5K. One ran the Beach Mile, barefoot. They ran because they could. They ran because at every distance they had sweeping views of the ocean, of the mansions, and of the daffodils in bloom. They ran to support PCA.

Growing up, every one of our runners experienced the power of sports to bring people together, and to help them develop the character, leadership, grit, resilience, compassion and so much more that they are grateful for today. So, before the races began, our runners reached out to friends, families, and colleagues and asked for their support of their race for PCA so that more kids in New England would have a positive sports experience, and become their best selves through sports.

Thank you to our runners:
