Tampa Bay’s Annual Fundraiser Supports Coaches, Student-Athletes, Parents, and Youth Sports Organizations

Tampa Bay – Dec 6, 2024
From the moment guests walked into the West Hyundai Club at Raymond James stadium, they knew they were in for a memorable evening.
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) – Tampa Bay held its annual fundraiser on November 19th and over 200 guests attended and learned about the chapter’s work in the community. Cheerleaders, mascots, and auction items grabbed everyone’s attention, but PCA’s mission kept everyone listening.
PCA’s work was transformed beyond an organization that facilitates educational workshops with coaches and teams and further into a group of people who recognize and support the higher purpose of sports.
Guests heard from PCA – Tampa Bay’s Board on how sports are an ideal vehicle for teaching life lessons such as grit, resilience, teamwork, growth mindset, and delayed gratification. Business leaders in the room recognized how the maximum potential of sports is learning how to win on and off the field and use those lessons later in life.
We all also had the privilege of listening to Liam and Tim Coen (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Offensive Coordinator and his dad) as they shared inside stories on the value sports have played in their family over generations.
The event raised over $320,000 and it will be used during 2025 to support character and leadership development with major partners such as Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas County School Districts, Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation, and other youth sports organizations.
Whether it’s sports or business, leadership lessons and a positive team culture are vital to increasing confidence, progress, and winning; let us know if you are interested in having PCA work with your business team next year.
Thanks again to all who attended. Happy 2024 and thanks for the support as we prepare for 2025!
