RECAP: Reclaiming Youth Sports 2020

PCA - Central Texas & Mark Henry Strong Kids hosted the 3rd Annual Reclaiming Youth Sports event on Saturday, August 15 with 150 participants! The virtual event gave athletes, coaches, and parents the opportunity to workout with some of their favorite athletes. The goals for the event included engaging with each other, having fun, and staying healthy.

This year's event was moved to Zoom to engage the community and show how accessible at-home workouts can be for athletes of all ages! The event included a 20-minute workout for those in attendance and those at home. Mark Henry helped guide the workout that took place at HIT Athletic in Austin, Texas.

Following the workout, the event was joined by some special guests to share helpful tips and advice for workout – normally and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Guests included Bobby Lashley, Bianca Belair, Shawne Merriman, Drew McIntyre, Renee Montgomery, Kayden Carter, Kacy Catanzaro, Matt Bonner, Cat Osterman, David LaGreca, and Steve Austin. Many of the athletes focused their tips on staying motivated and consistent with a workout plan. Additionally, many of the athletes touched on how staying physically active can keep you physically and mentally strong.
