Positive Coaching Alliance and Player’s Health Partner to Protect Youth Athletes

11.17.2016

Mountain View, CA – Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) – a national non-profit developing “Better Athletes, Better People” through youth and high school sports – is partnering with Player’s Health, an interactive mobile platform that enables real-time communication between coaches, parents and healthcare providers to best care for the health and wellbeing of youth athletes.

The agreement names Player’s Health as a PCA Trusted Resource. Player’s Health will provide expert advice via videos on topics such as return-to-play protocols for injured youth athletes within www.PCADevZone.org, PCA’s collection of nearly 1,500 free multimedia resources for youth and high school sports coaches, parents, student-athletes and administrators. PCA will introduce Player’s Health to its network of school and youth sports organization partners in an allied effort to enhance player safety, especially in the wake of injuries.

"We are excited to partner with Positive Coaching Alliance to ensure the safety and health of our athletes,” said Player's Health Founder/CEO Tyrre Burks. “Player’s Health is a risk management system and player safety platform. Player’s Health is about reducing organization liability by introducing proper processes and giving coaches, athletic trainers, and parents the tools to monitor their athlete's health and make the right decisions for athletes to return to play. We are ready to work with PCA to make sports safer for our youth and less stressful for our coaches and parents and to help sports remain a place of development and emotional attachment while reducing the risk of injury."

Added Jason Sacks, PCA’s National Director of Business Development: “Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our youth. The incomparable potential for youth and high sports to develop character and teach life lessons can only be realized if players are kept safe and healthy. While injuries are an unfortunate reality in sports, Player’s Health provides a critical tool for managing the recovery and return-to-play process.”
