For the first time, PCA Arizona teamed up with Playstation-Fiesta Bowl to assist in the Football “Boot Camp” at Scottsdale Community College. On December 30, 2018, 100 select service women/men and their VetTix families participated in the camp through a variety of football stations (kick, punt, pass) and an interactive gaming truck offered from Playstation.
PCA-Arizona coordinated with 10 High School coaches from PCA schools to volunteer in the event. Each coach led a station with a few student-athletes as their assistants. University of Central Florida players and dancers also came in in their school attire and/or jerseys to assist and join in on this outreach event.
Near the end of the 1.5 hour camp, everyone received a Playstation tote bag filled with sunglasses, shirts, and a UCF poster card. The UCF representatives also provided giveaway items to distribute and autograph for the kids.
A special thanks to Fiesta Bowl Charities for having us. Also, thank you to the other organizations Playstation, VetTix, UCF, and Lerner and Rowe Gives for being a part of this fun event.
