PCA's July Partner Of the Month - Downingtown West Little League

Positive Coaching Alliance is proud to announce Downingtown West Little League (DWLL) as our July Partner of the Month.

Currently, Downingtown Little League serves over 600 kids between the ages of five and sixteen with more than 150 volunteer coaches. The organization provides a positive space for youth character development for boys and girls across its level-based baseball and softball leagues. DWLL also participates in The Little League Challenger’s Program, an adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.

We recently got the chance to meet up with the organization’s president Nate Laverty, who shared the impact that PCA’s training has had on the success of the program, especially in the past year as the organization has significantly leveled up its footprint by merging with West Bradford Little League in an effort further develop the best little league programming possible for the athletes in our community.

In Nate’s words, “There are countless opportunities to teach kids about something more than how you field a ground ball; those things can be metaphors for life and for how they carry themselves and succeed off the diamond and in life.”

Please join us in congratulating Downingtown Little League on this honor, and we urge you to hear from Nate himself in our excerpt below.
