Mountain View, CA– Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) develops BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE by working to transform the youth sports culture into a positive youth "Development Zone®” where all youth and high school athletes have a positive, character-building experience. Recently, the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation awarded PCA approximately $500,000 to measure PCA’s outcomes and programming impact, and increase PCA’s capacity to learn from data. "We’re excited to support this work; measuring impact is difficult and we believe that this support will really help PCA increase their capacity in that area and contribute to impact on youth and coaches," said Alex Hooker, of the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation.

The grant will support a set of projects that will build PCA’s capacity and ability to learn from data, and will help to measure PCA’s outcomes and programming impact. Dr. Wendy Church, PCA’s Director of Research & Evaluation, stated, "We think this work will be a game-changer and are very grateful to the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation for their support."
