Positive Coaching Alliance Arizona was recently awarded a $25,000 Grant from Phoenix Suns Charities to support youth, sports, and education initiatives across the State of Arizona. The revamped grant allows Phoenix Suns Charities to make a greater impact throughout the state by offering unrestricted funding for the first time ever, as philanthropic organizations were able to apply for grants that support their mission and programs to make a positive impact throughout Arizona.
"The Suns are winning on the court and Phoenix Suns Charities is winning in the community. Our support of Positive Coaching Alliance is evidence of just that, as we work with them to improve the youth sports community throughout the state of Arizona," said Sarah Krahenbuhl, Vice President, Social Responsibility & Executive Director, Phoenix Suns Charities.
The Phoenix Suns and PCA have worked closely together over the years, from staff participation on the local PCA Board and hosting the annual PCA Positive Impact Awards at the Footprint Center, to underwriting Jr. Suns/Jr. Mercury workshops in the community. "The entire Suns Organization has been a proud supporter of PCA over the years," said Rich Tomey, Regional Director for PCA. "Their most recent commitment to our mission of developing Better Athletes, Better People has been a huge springboard to getting our message out to the entire State of Arizona, and we look forward to finding new ways to collaborate collectively in the community."
