Julianna’s teacher speaks very highly of Julianna’s work ethic, “I have known Julianna for a year. I taught her AP Calculus AB during the 2016-17 school year. Julianna did not take Geometry in middle school so she had to take an entire year of Geometry in the first semester of her sophomore year and then trigonometry the second semester of her sophomore year. Most of the students in her Calculus class had taken Pre-Calculus during their tenth-grade year. The Pre-Calculus curriculum reviewed logarithms and exponential functions and included limits and basic derivatives which are calculus concepts. Julianna entered AP Calculus without this curriculum which set her at a bit of a disadvantage. Julianna did not let this hold her back. She consistently scored a high A on each test of the course which was usually the highest grade in the class. Julianna’s work ethic is one of the best that I have seen in my career. She always had her homework done on time and done well. Julianna has a level of intrinsic motivation that is rarely seen at her age. She frequently reflects on her past performance to see how she can improve in the future. This is how she makes herself better. She leads by example. She puts 100 percent of effort into everything she does. She also helps other students when they do not understand. She is bright, dedicated, motivated, responsible and has a lot of integrity. She is an incredible young woman, worthy of your scholarship.”
