Character Development Program Returns to Pasco Parks

06.03.2021

Next week begins the start of PCA – Tampa Bay’s Character Development Program in summer camps at Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources. Elementary and middle school-aged youth will focus on PCA’s key principles, such as Emotional Tanks, always giving best effort, learning, and how to bounce back from mistakes.

Each of the Character Development Program’s lessons feature a combination of weekly activities and daily small group discussions lead by Pasco County’s staff. PCA’s certified trainers will be on site to help youth understand how to apply the program’s principles at camp, home, school, and in the community.

“PCA is excited to again partner with Pasco County after last year’s cancellation of camps due to COVID,” said Mason Brady, Executive Director of PCA – Tampa Bay. “We are thankful we have the opportunity and the support of the community to again be in this position.”

The partnership with Pasco County Parks and PCA-Tampa Bay has been made possible by generous contributions from Florida Blue, who is focused on building healthy, strong communities, and from the Tampa Bay Youth & High School Sports Foundation, and the County, itself. The ultimate beneficiaries will be our community youth that have the opportunity to develop positive and strong character this summer!
