Caring Parents: “It’s All About the Smile Behind the Mask” + Hockey Parent Workshops, thanks to Massachusetts Hockey and the Boston Bruins

“It’s All About the Smile Behind the Mask”

That’s a quote from a hockey dad at a recent PCA workshop.

PCA workshops for sports parents are about how to help your child grow, learn, compete and find joy through sports. We know that there is no better place than sports for kids to develop the social, emotional learning (SEL) skills they need to thrive, as a recent Laureus report makes clear. That’s why the Boston Bruins and Mass Hockey support PCA workshops for Mass Hockey members, and have a grant program to bring these workshops to hockey programs.  Contact Chris Fay about the Mass Hockey Grant Program.

Perspective is important. Whether you are a former D1 athlete, a parent, a coach, or all three, you will want to think about your role in your child’s youth and high school sports experience. At PCA, we help sports parents put youth and high school sports in perspective now during the pandemic, and every day. With materials grounded in research and advice from top coaches like Steve Kerr (talking here about sports parents), PCA helps parents gain perspective and support their children’s sports experiences through the ups and downs that will prepare them for life.
