Arizona Federal Credit Union has announced that it has awarded $25,500 to 14 local nonprofits as part of its new Local Artist, Local Causes debit card giveback program. Nonprofits were selected based on their alignment with the local credit union’s five target criteria in education, equality/social inclusion, community services, children & youth and sustainability.
Of the local nonprofits, which are the first recipients of the credit union’s new giveback program, Positive Coaching Alliance was one of the 14 to get the amazing opportunity of receiving this grant. PCA earned a total of $1,500 from the grant.
We are excited to be 1 of only 14 grant recipients during these times. With the money from Arizona Federal Credit Union we will be able to offer workshops to underfunded organizations in underserved communities here in the valley.
Earlier this year the credit union announced the launch of its newest community-focused debit card, the Local Artist, Local Causes Visa® debit card. Every time a cardholder makes a purchase with the card, Arizona Federal makes a donation to its community fund that will be distributed on a bi-annual basis to help benefit nonprofits in Arizona. Local artist Jon Arvizu designed the card. Arvizu is the artist behind Hijinks Apparel, a popular local retailer that sells clothing, stickers and more.
“It is an honor to support these deserving local organizations that are committed to making a difference to individuals, families and teachers in Arizona. We are so thankful to our member-owners who are utilizing this card daily and for entrusting us with the power to assist this inaugural group of recipients."
- Jason Paprocki, Chief Operating Officer at Arizona Federal Credit Union.
