5th Annual Inside the Lines a Huge Success for Tampa Bay

11.15.2021

Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) – Tampa Bay welcomed partners, supporters, Board members and guests for its 5th annual Inside the Lines fundraiser on November 3 at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC.  It was wonderful to be together again and celebrate the positive impact PCA is making in our community!

Over 200 guests enjoyed a special evening of cocktails, dinner, and entertainment while learning about PCA - Tampa Bay and how the organization is positively transforming youth and high school sports in our community by providing student-athletes with a positive, character-building experience that results in Better Athletes, Better People.

The evening began with guests greeted by local mascots, a local high school band, photographs with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and specialty cocktails made by Dark Door Spirits.  During dinner, guests heard from a celebrity panel moderated by Rob Higgins, Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, as he held an insightful and humorous discussion with Jay Feaster, Sr. VP of Legal and Business Affairs for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Brett Phillips, Outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays.  The panelists reflected on how a positive culture has led to success for them as individuals, for their teams and in life.

Guests also heard from Mason Brady, Executive Director of PCA – Tampa Bay as she thanked long-time supporters Triad Foundation, the Tampa Bay Rays, and the Tampa Bay Lightning and welcomed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a community partner! Sherman Armstrong, PCA Trainer, and owner of VAST Sports Performance rallied support from the audience by emphasizing that it takes a village and a team to communicate the same messages to make a positive culture change.

The evening closed with unique items and experiences auctioned and a generous match challenge made by Triad Foundation during the “Bid from the Heart” appeal that was met by benevolent contributors.

Inside the Lines is vital to supporting the mission of PCA - Tampa Bay and it ensures that student-athletes and the community ultimately benefit from the character-building educational workshops that PCA provides for coaches, parents, and youth.

Finally, a special thanks to Board member Bryce Kenny of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management for chairing this year’s fundraiser and to Under the Lights Flag Football Powered by Under Armour and John Kaleo for being Title Sponsors.
