Jerry York has coached for 40 years, including 18 at BC, where he won NCAA Championships in 2001, 2008, 2010 and 2012. He also won the 1984 title at Bowling Green University, making him one of only three coaches in NCAA history to lead two different schools to national titles.

Other accolades include:

  • The Lester Patrick Trophy, presented for outstanding service to hockey in the United States, in October 2010
  • Hockey East Coach of the Year honors for 2010-11
  • Member of the Bowling Green State University Athletic Hall of Fame (2003 inductee) and Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame (1982 inductee)
  • NCAA Record holder for tournament victories (37)
