As VP – Business Development at Trust Point, Inc., Julie is responsible for client retention and growth as well as building relationships with strategic partners to create awareness of Trust Point’s unique selling proposition. Her team’s goal is to reach individuals, families, organizations, and businesses that could benefit from sophisticated wealth-related services. She leverages her years of experience in her solo estate planning legal practice to help clients with complex trust and estate needs and specializes in Estate Planning, including Special Needs Trusts and Settlement Preservation Trusts.

Julie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business management and marketing from Cornell University in New York. She moved back to the Midwest to pursue her Juris Doctor at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. She worked in law firms, including her own independent law firm, helping individuals with all aspects of estate planning.

Julie was a three sport athlete at Simley High School playing tennis, basketball, and softball. She is now a member of the Simley High School Athletics Hall of Fame. After high school, she went on to play softball for Cornell and was the first-ever softball player inducted into the Cornell Athletics Hall of Fame. Her softball skills are still put to use as a pitching instructor for local youth and she also helps coach her son’s baseball team.

As a coach, Julie always believed that youth sports provide the opportunity to build a solid foundation of skills that are useful in all aspects of life. The mission of the Positive Coaching Alliance directly aligns with her experience as an athlete and her coaching philosophy.
