Shawn Stein grew up in Westminster, CO and played soccer for 40+ years in leagues and pick-up games around the world. He has also lived and worked in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, and the United States. Shawn worked as a professor of Latin American studies and Spanish and Portuguese for 17 years and his passion has always been fútbol (as a player, coach and fan), which led him to found and co-organize a community-focused organization called the Día de Fútbol at Washington College from 2007-2015. He has published on “fair play” in Soccer & Society.
