Testimonials:

JUSTIN CURRAN – SALPOINTE BASKETBALL COACH

Jenna exemplifies a Triple-Impact Competitor on all three levels. She is constantly working hard to improve her contributions to her Varsity Basketball Team in practice and in competitions and if she falls short of her goal, she inquires about what she needs to do to adjust and succeed. She is a great teammate as she puts them first on a regular basis. After solid games and performances, she gives credit to her team and re-frames the event as a collective effort. She makes the sport better by her love and enjoyment of being a part of the game. She has overcome injuries and illness but even when sidelined, she comes to practice and games to show her support for her teammates and the Program. She will be a Senior Captain this upcoming season and everything she does in our teams colors describes a Triple-Impact Competitor.

PHIL GRUENSFELDER – SALPOINTE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

I am writing to you in support of Jenna Soulvie. I have had the pleasure of working with Jenna for the past three years. Jenna is currently a standout basketball student-athlete that exhibits the many qualities necessary to be a successful teammate and a leader in the classroom.

I have watched Jenna develop into a fine leader as she is an impressive example on and off the court. Additionally, her dedication to excellence is evident as she consistently displays a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a love for her sport. Jenna’s diligence and commitment to her teammates and her sport are unmatched as her greatest pleasure is to challenge herself and those around her.

As an Athletic Director, I have the joy of overseeing student-athletes in the classroom and on the field, working with teachers and coaches to make sure that our student-athletes are achieving in both areas. During my time in the classroom and on the field it is apparent that Jenna is willing to take the lead in difficult situations as well as understanding the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility. Her skill is clearly illustrated in the graceful manner that she provides leadership, as she empowers young teammates, and effortlessly enables and strengthens experienced teammates.

It is my belief that Jenna is truly deserving of the PCA’s Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship as she embodies the 3 principles of personal mastery, leadership, and honoring the game as a student-athlete at Salpointe Catholic High School. Jenna’s ability to lead her teammates as well as provide leadership to the entire school, truly make her a qualified candidate for this award. We are lucky to have such a wonderful student-athlete here on campus.
