Taylor grew up in Santa Barbara, CA where he first started playing sports. Boys Club t-ball was the first sport, and from there it was any and all sports that could be played. He got the first taste of giving back to the community, helping to restore an old train depot for a local museum. He attended UC Davis, where he played a little club lacrosse and many intramural sports (a hall of famer in inner tube water polo, or he would be if such a thing existed), and again he volunteered in the community.
After graduation he moved to the Bay Area and got married to his wife, Koryne. They now have three children -- a girl and two boys. Taylor has coached all three in various sports. It is through coaching that Taylor learned of PCA, and felt it was a great organization.
After building a small business, he decided to go back to school and earn a degree in Counseling Psychology. He has been working with kids for the last two years in East Palo Alto with an organization he helped start called Grupo Palo Alto, and working with men at the Salvation Army in San Francisco off and on for the past three years. As a mental health professional Taylor sees how beneficial PCA can be to kids, coaches and parents.
