Phil is counsel at Davis Polk & Wardwell, where his practice is focused on intellectual property litigation. He has represented clients in matters related to life sciences and pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, semiconductor integrated circuits, and related technologies. Prior to joining Davis Polk, Phil served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Randall R. Rader on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and he co-founded Golden Set Analytics, a leading tennis analytics company servicing some of the world’s top tennis professionals. Phil himself is a former ATP-ranked tennis player.
Phil received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University where he was on full scholarship for men’s tennis and played under legendary coach Dick Gould. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University. Phil lives in Palo Alto with his wife, Summer, and their four children and is actively involved in youth sports around the community.
