Jeff Serota has over 25 years of experience as a principal investor and financial services professional. Mr. Serota served as a Senior Partner and Senior Advisor with Ares Management LLC (“Ares”), an independent Los Angeles based investment firm, and helping Ares grow into a global asset manager with over $60 billion in assets. Mr. Serota retired from Ares in 2014 and now pursues private investing and participation on various Boards of Directors, both public and private as well as non-profits organizations.
Mr. Serota has previously worked at Bear Stearns, Dabney/Resnick, Inc. and Salomon Brothers Inc. In each of those positions, he specialized in providing investment banking services to clients of the firm and/or evaluating principal investing activities on behalf of the firm or its clients.
Mr. Serota received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and received a Masters of Business Administration degree from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
Currently, Mr. Serota participates on the Board of Directors of three public companies (one of which he is the non-executive Chairman). Mr. Serota also sits on the non-profit Boards of Manhattan Beach Education Foundation, Manhattan Beach Education Foundation Endowment Fund and Positive Coaching Alliance – Los Angeles Chapter. Mr. Serota resides in Manahattan Beach, CA with his wife and two children. He is actively involved in youth sports as both a coach and manager.
