Founder, Roberts Law Firm
Chapter Board - North Texas
Steve Roberts joined the PCA–North Texas Board in 2018, bringing nearly three decades of experience and insight from his involvement in youth sports coaching, training and operations in the D/FW Metroplex.
Steve was born and raised in San Antonio where he developed his love for sports. He was recruited to play football at Princeton University where he graduated with a degree in Politics in 1990. After graduation, Steve returned to Texas where he earned his law degree from the SMU School of Law in 1993. After more than a decade of practicing law as a senior partner in a major Dallas firm, Steve founded the Roberts Law Firm where he continues to represent clients throughout the state in a variety of legal matters.
While still in law school, Steve began his youth coaching career by resurrecting the St. Thomas Aquinas football program. Steve eventually transitioned his focus to his own children’s teams, coaching each of his own six children in soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, and football. With only a couple of exceptions, all of Steve’s teams have been named “Tigers” in honor of his alma mater. Steve has also served as a board member on multiple youth sports organizations, and he was a founding member and the first president of the independent soccer club, Tigers F.C., growing the club to 10 teams in various age groups in six months.
Steve and his wife Mallory live in Prosper, Texas with their three school-age daughters. His two sons currently attend Texas A&M University, and his eldest daughter is a recent Aggie graduate. The family attends Preston Trail Community Church in Frisco, Texas.
