Anthony (ROBY) Roberson is a character coach with an intense competitor's drive. His experiences in athletics and coaching are foundational to the life of a servant leader focused on creating better athletes and better people. Roby balanced his youth experiences as a multi-sport athlete competing in track and field, baseball, wrestling, basketball and football. He was a high school, tri-event state qualifier in track and field and an All-State football player and multi-team captain. He participated in the Colorado All-State Football game as a Sierra HS graduate and won Colorado Rotary Athlete of the Year honors before accepting a Presidential appointment to the United States Air Force Academy in 1985. He led the Western Athletic Conference in all-purpose yardage in 1987 and 1988 and is the only player in USAFA history to win all three major individual awards: Most Valuable Player, Mister Intensity and USAFA's heralded Brian Bullard Memorial Award. Roby received all-conference honors and was named a 1988 National Strength and Conditioning All-American Athlete. Upon graduating from USAFA in 1989 with military distinction, Roby was commissioned as an officer in the USAF and embarked on a 20 year career as an F-16 Fighter Pilot and graduate of the Air Force's Top Gun program (Fighter Weapons School). He retired from active duty in 2009 amassing over 2,250 hours and 101 combat missions. Since retirement, Roby has filled several Fortune 500 executive positions in key industries including; Technology, Global Medical Device, Global Defense and Financial Services. His coaching experience spans three decades beginning as a graduate assistant at the collegiate level and encompassing opportunities at the high school and youth levels in multiple sports. His last collegiate coaching assignment was 2007-2009 as an assistant coach with the Air Force Falcons. Additionally, Roby has provided developmental consulting services for several NFL organizations focusing on football operations planning and execution. Roby has five wonderful children, all student-athletes, and he recently accepted an opportunity to join the Palmer Ridge HS football staff as an offensive assistant. Roby is a Board Member of Colorado's Positive Coaching Alliance and spends his free time organizing and directing summer youth camps.
