Andrea Quiñones–Rivera is an emergency medicine resident physician at LA County-USC. Andrea obtained her medical degree from the UCSF School of Medicine where she specialized in the care of urban underserved communities and worked to increase institutional diversity and equity.

She grew up playing soccer and experienced first-hand the impact that sports make in the lives of youth. After having a life-changing experience with a Coaching Corps coach, she went on to launch a Coaching Corps chapter as an undergraduate at UC Santa Cruz.

She holds a master’s degree in public health from the T.H. Chan School of Public Health and was a Zuckerman Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership. Her research focuses on health care policy, health disparities, and social determinants of health.
