Kim O'Shea

Program Manager – Southern California Region

Our Staff, Trainers - Colorado

After 2 years as an Outreach & Research Coordinator at PCA, Kim is now supporting the PCA partner organizations and Trainers in Southern California as a Program Manager.

Kim started swimming at age 8, played volleyball in junior high, and did shot put and discus on the track team through high school.  As a walk-on to Indiana University’s swim team, she was voted team captain in both her junior and senior years. Post-college, she taught elementary school before coaching took over full-time. Her coaching career covered the gamut from age groupers with the Carmel Swim Club in Indiana to the collegiate team and masters’ swimmers while she was the Women’s Assistant Coach at the University of Tennessee. Kim worked 12 years in the Sport Development division at USA Swimming and had a brief stint as the Safe Sport Coordinator for USA Fencing. In their free time, Kim and her husband Dave enjoy an occasional round of trap shooting and marksmanship events.
