Nick Lusson has a long history of coaching all levels of youth soccer in Northern California. He's currently the Soccer Director for the Alameda County Deputy Sheriff's Athletic League and a staff coach for the San Francisco Elite Academy soccer club. He's the founder and Director of the NorCal Premier Soccer Foundation, the charitable arm of NorCal Premier Soccer, which is one of the largest state soccer organizations with both youth and adult programming. Nick is a coaching educator for the California Youth Soccer Association, where he teaches the US Soccer Federation license courses to beginner coaches.
Nick previously coached the Bay Area Breeze professional women's soccer team of the W-League. Prior to that he was the head coach for both men and women at Holy Names University in the NAIA where he was twice named Conference Coach of the Year and once Western Region Coach of the Year. He also was the assistant coach for both men and women's programs at Cal State East Bay at the NCAA DII level.
He's a former professional player having competed with Madureira Esporte Clube in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as well as a former collegiate player at UC Santa Cruz. Nick also spent years as an avid martial artist, having competed and performed with the world-renowned ABADA-Capoeira group in both Brazil and the U.S.
Nick holds Master's Degrees in Sport Psychology, Exercise & Sport Performance, and Sports Management. He currently resides in San Francisco.
