Before founding Bay Area Land Company, a development firm promoting green energy using alternative energy resources in 2015, Ken helped run his family business, Lombardi Sports.
Joining the business which was humbly started in San Francisco in 1948, Ken was devoted for 30 years to inspiring his customers to engage heart and soul in to the world of sports. From creating industry firsts for retail store build outs like a 50 foot climbing wall built in Lombardi’s 50,000 sq. foot flag ship store or installing retail concept stores for companies like Patagonia, Nike and UnderArmour, he worked to find new approaches to capture and keep his customers attention. Ken also took his message of getting in the game of sports and life to bill boards and radio and was recognized by winning Addy awards on both local and national levels for creative excellence. His team at Lombardi sports offered cutting edge gear by bringing advanced technology and service to his customers. As a supporter of the local sporting community, Ken started an amateur cycling team that eventually competed on the professional level.
His philosophy of work is play is one Ken embraces every day. He enjoys coaching little league baseball for Twin Cities Little League in Corte Madera and finds his biggest inspiration in the emerging talents of young athletes such as his two young sons.
