Margaret Koenig grew up in a hotbed of lacrosse. Her High school team won the State Championships her senior year and she was a 4 year Division 1 starter and played competitive Club Lacrosse for 10 years. She competed in the College/Club National Tournament for several years representing both New England and California. She has coached at every level, from U8 to being an Assistant coach at the D1 level. She started the high school program in her town of Hood River where she also windsurfs and mountain bikes and has coached youth soccer. She has been a Psychologist for 20 years and has taught at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Margaret was the Recipient of the 2016 National PCA Double Goal Coaching Award due to her embodiment of the PCA philosophy of combining a winning attitude with teaching youth valuable life lessons. The mottos for her lacrosse teams are "One Does not beat Twelve" and "Your job is to make your teammates look better.”
